Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 June 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of this website ("the Site"), operated by [Marc Allington / your legal entity name] ("we," "us"). By using the Site — including the "Chat with Marc" assistant or by creating an account — you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Using the Site

You may use the Site for lawful, personal, and informational purposes. You agree not to:

  • use the Site in any way that breaks the law or infringes someone else's rights;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Site or its infrastructure;
  • scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract content except as permitted by our robots.txt;
  • misuse the chat assistant or contact forms (e.g. spam, abuse, or attempts to manipulate the AI into producing harmful output).

We may suspend or restrict access if these Terms are breached.

2. The "Chat with Marc" AI assistant

The chat assistant is an AI tool, not Marc personally. You acknowledge that:

  • responses are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date;
  • the assistant does not speak officially for Marc and its output is not professional, legal, financial, or other expert advice;
  • you should not rely on the assistant for important decisions without independent verification;
  • your messages are processed by a third-party AI provider and stored, as described in the Privacy Policy;
  • you should not submit confidential or sensitive personal information through the chat.

Any meeting request you submit is an enquiry only and does not create a binding commitment by either party until separately confirmed.

3. Accounts

If you create an account:

  • you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account;
  • you must provide accurate information and keep it up to date;
  • you must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and at least 16, or the minimum age for digital consent where you live);
  • we may suspend or remove accounts that breach these Terms.

4. User-submitted content

If you submit content (for example a profile bio, picture, or messages), you confirm you have the right to share it and that it is not unlawful, infringing, or offensive. You grant us a limited licence to store and display that content as needed to operate the Site. We may remove content that breaches these Terms.

5. Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the content, design, and code of the Site are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and share content for personal, non-commercial use, but you may not copy, republish, or exploit it commercially without permission.

6. Third-party links and services

The Site may link to or rely on third-party services (such as our hosting, email, and AI providers). We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms.

7. Disclaimers

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI-generated output will be accurate. Your use of the Site is at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Site or reliance on the chat assistant. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [England and Wales / your jurisdiction], and the courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
