The Financial Conduct Authority has published examples of good and poor practice in firms' use of AI, relevant to machine learning, generative AI and agentic AI. It highlights defining the consumer need and target market before deploying AI-supported products, clear senior-manager (SMF) ownership of AI risks, and stress-testing AI tools and building them into resilience planning. The approach is proportionate and risk-based rather than prescriptive, and the examples do not create new requirements. Issued by the UK's FCA, applying to UK-regulated financial firms.
