The European Commission published EN 18286:2026 on 14 October 2026, the first harmonised standard under the EU AI Act. It sets out a quality management system for providers of high-risk AI, covering a compliance strategy for Articles 9 to 15, post-market monitoring and serious-incident reporting. Providers who apply it get a presumption of conformity for the requirements it covers, though using it is voluntary and ISO/IEC 42001 alone does not give that presumption.
