The Public Accounts Committee is examining Capita's administration of the Civil Service Pension Scheme, which Capita took over from MyCSP in December under a ten-year, £239m contract. Capita says the backlog it inherited was more than double the 37,000 items at the time it won the deal, and it has missed its March and June 2026 targets despite promising AI, automation and 500 staff. The government withheld a £10m payment, and the NAO is also investigating.
